Which Lip Filler Is Right for Me?
At ReNu, we only use trusted Juvéderm products to ensure natural, long-lasting results:
- Juvéderm Ultra 2 (0.55ml)
A great starting point for subtle lip shaping and soft volume.
- Juvéderm Volbella (1.0ml)
A more advanced product designed for delicate lips and fine perioral lines. Excellent for mature lips — the 1ml syringe offers enough product to treat both the lip body and vertical lines, if needed.
What if I'm not ready for Fillers, Is a Lip Flip a good choice?
A Lip Flip is a subtle, non-surgical enhancement using botulinum toxin (anti-wrinkle injection). Tiny amounts are injected just above the top lip, targeting the orbicularis oris muscle — the muscle that pulls the upper lip inward when you smile or speak.
By gently relaxing this muscle, the top lip naturally rolls outward slightly, revealing more of the pink lip and creating the appearance of a fuller, softer upper lip — without adding volume.
It’s ideal if:
- Your top lip disappears when you smile
- You’re not ready for dermal filler
- You want a more defined lip edge with no swelling
The result is a delicate lift, lasting around 8–12 weeks.
Hydration Boosters for Lips
As we age, dehydration around the lips becomes more noticeable — especially if you’re perimenopausal or postmenopausal. At ReNu, we also offer skin boosters such as:
- Seventy Hyal 2000 or Lemon Bottle Skin Booster
to hydrate and improve skin texture around the lips and mouth.
These can be combined with a Lip Flip or used as a gentle first step. Since lip fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, they already offer hydrating benefits — so additional boosters aren’t usually needed unless the surrounding skin is very dry or lined.
What to Expect
- Consultation: Dr Jackie will assess your lip structure, skin quality, and facial proportions to create a personalised plan.
- Treatment: Typically 20–30 minutes. Topical numbing cream is applied for comfort.
- Aftercare: Swelling may last 24–72 hours. Full results settle in 1–2 weeks.

Maintenance treatments help you keep your results soft and natural over time.
You’ll receive a numbing cream beforehand, and most fillers contain lidocaine to reduce discomfort. Clients often describe it as “a bit pinchy, but very manageable.”
Because we only use reversible, hyaluronic acid-based fillers, we can dissolve them if needed. This is rarely requested, but it’s good to know you're in safe hands.
